Great idea but the latches need to be stronger

February 7, 2020

This is a very well thought out tackle box BUT if you overload it or bang it the right way the latches will break. On a boat that means you could potentially lose tackle if you're handing it from the dock to the boat. On the bright side it does hold a ton of gear and if you are gentle with it and carry it from the bottom when over water you should be alright. Be careful not to but too many lead weights or lures in it. If you do it could overload and something will break.

Pros

  • Stores tons of gear, not that heavy and well organized

so far so good

I am a retired pilot so right away I related to the 737. Holds an adequate amount of plugs leaders, tools etc.

Pros

  • --dual access to similar compartments
  • -- frequently used items such as pliers, leaders, swivels etc. located at top of box--not in the bottom

Great Tackle Box

This is a perfect tackle box for freshwater and inshore saltwater fishing to hold lures, hooks, and other necessities.

Plano 737-200

This item is just the size I needed for all my crankbait lures. It has plenty of space and each drawer has long divided slots so I can put all of my Smithwicks Rattlin Rogues in a different slot. Enough roof for extra reel and a small divided container for snaps, swivels hooks, etc.

Pros

  • Big enough tom hold all tackle. Small enough to carry easily.

Big tackle

Great box that is built tough. It was bigger than I expected with more space than I could fill. A super product for anglers who fish many techniques, and desire organization.

Pros

  • Lots of space, sturdy build

Would this, or another Plano tackle box be best for saltwater boat fishing in the Chesapeake Bay? Please prioritize among your boxes for this purpose. Price is important to me, too. Thank you, Elsa

All the Plano tackle boxes that we carry are approved for salt water use. This one would work great for a salt water tackle box.
