George Russell took a daze first Formula One pole position at the Hungarian Yard Prix with a superb belatedly lap, denying Ferrari a front row lockout in the process.

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc had been first and second until Russell's last timed lap of 1:17.377 put him top by simply 0.044s.
